Hair Treatments & Masques
Natural, vegan, and eco-friendly hair repair treatments.Â
Hair is one of the most important parts of physical appearance. Keeping hair healthy and natural is key to a better health as it helps keep our scalp clean and free from disease. Below are just a few of the most common hair treatments we recommend to our clients and customers:
Daily Moisturising Hair Treatments
The benefits of using a daily moisturising hair treatment are plenty, but not all will apply to everyone. Some people may get allergies, others may not want all the added chemicals their hair absorbs, and then there's always the people who just don't want to put too much effort into their routine due to these reasons.
However, as there are many benefits from using a daily moisturising hair treatment, you can be sure that it is definitely going to make your hair healthier and look better than it does without treatment. It is easier for you to maintain healthy looking as well as healthy hair with a regular application of one of our conditioners/moisturisers. The benefits include (but are not limited to):
- Tones and strengthens the hair. It works well on different types of hair (doesn't damage or bleach your hair, so you may choose to use it with different colours), as well as all lengths. If your hair is thinning or damaged, we suggest an intensive treatment every 2-6 weeks for maximum results.
- Helps stop split ends from forming.
- Helps to make hair shiny and soft looking. It keeps your colour looking fresh for longer and it helps keep receding hairlines at bay (useful for men, too).
Aveda make a fantastic daily moisturiser we would highly recommend, as does Original Mineral (O&M).

Scalp TreatmentsÂ
A scalp treatment is an agent that is composed of a mixture of essential oils and botanical extracts, including essential oils such as clove, rosemary, ylang-ylang. The benefits of using a scalp treatment are significant and include treating dry scalps; eliminating dandruff or cradle cap; restoring hair growth; creating a healthy hair environment by preventing bacteria from reproducing on the scalp to cause infections such as acne; reducing the appearance of scars on the skin and promoting healing. Hairshop highly recommends Davines products for Scalp Treatments and this Exfoliating Scalp Treatment and Tropical Scalp Supplement from Virtue.
Split Ends Hair Treatments
Split ends are caused when your hair breaks from being exposed to too much heat, pulling, teasing or other repetitive strain. Alternatively, they can also occur when your hair goes through drastic changes such as an extreme change in colour or just growing out. These pesky strands can be difficult to see on your own scalp but if you look closely or use the right product they will show up as those small white fibers that stick out from the rest of your hair, and they will continue to break off and split until you take action.
In order to repair your hair, you will need to use a split ends treatment. Keratin and protein are important when it comes to treating split ends because they provide the key elements that replenish, strengthen and rebuild hair. Protein will help you make new strands from the existing ones, making your hair look more full and thick by adding volume. Meanwhile, keratin is an alternative to collagen which gives hair its strength and elasticity. Consult with a professional first on what products to use, such as Mr Smith Leave-in treatment if you want to maximise your results using a split end treatment. We also recommend a wide-tooth comb to help gently brush hair prone to split ends. Â
