According to World Bank, paper and cardboard account for 17% of the global waste. Another study shows that a typical household throws away 13,000 pieces of cardboard each year. In an effort to reduce our companies carbon footprint, we have sought out the best eco-friendly packaging solutions to get our products to you both safely and sustainably.

Our Process

It starts in our packaging room where all boxes are made from 100% recycled materials. You may notice some minor imperfections on a box, or slight differences in packaging between orders. We are not shy to re-use boxes sent to us by suppliers and save just about every piece of cardboard filling that comes our way for future use. Our boxes are also FSC certified, an internationally recognised mark of responsible forestry. If you’ve received a Hairshop package you know your box is far from bare, we aim to find a balance between aesthetics and durability. This starts from the bottom of the box all the way up to the seal.

Thinking Inside the Box

Products are individually wrapped with tissue paper to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to each package. This tissue paper is acid-free making it biodegradable and 100% recyclable. To eliminate the use of plastic bubblewrap all glass products are now wrapped with bubble paper. This eco-friendly alternative uses FSC certified kraft paper, making it a sustainable and durable choice.

Hairshop packages are also filled with honeycomb paper wrap to provide effective cushioning for wrapping and protecting fragile items. Made from 100% recyclable materials and FSC certified, this paper is an eco-friendly and aesthetic choice.

Our boxes are finally sealed with eco-paper tape. This eco-friendly and durable option eliminates the use of plastic tape. From our choice of boxes, padding and tape, Hairshop packages are 100% recyclable!
